Mugunghwa Kumiho is a Flower Fox spirit (Japan: kitsune, Korea: kumiho, China: huli-jing). She is around 500 years old and her tails have the markings of mugunghwa (rose of sharon!) She is often found with her best friend, Sakura Kitsune, around their representative trees, frolicking or eating udon.

Mugunghwa literally means “eternal flower” and is a symbol of perseverance and long life. The rose of sharon is also South Korea’s national flower!
