Ashley left a very sweet message on the Etsy shop feedback:

I received these earrings on Valentine’s day and wore them on my date with my husband who thought they looked great. I love them too and loved the packaging it came in and the handwritten note that came with my order. I will definitely be ordering form oki tokki again!

Thanks so much, Ashley! ♥

I love hearing from all of you! It’s so rewarding~ As always, you can e-mail me, tweet or leave a message on Facebook!

MBC News Tonight: oki tokki feature

January 27th, 2011 @ 3:06pm in home news, local events, news & press

MBC contacted me back in December to do a story on my designs & oki tokki, but it was postponed until January since I was in Georgia with my family. Thursday, the 20th, MBC anchor Narae (such a pretty name!) and her cameraman came out to my apartment to shoot it! I had no idea what to expect, but I moved my table into the living room and arranged my products on there, thinking that the interview would only take place in there… To my surprise, they also wanted to include my screen printing press; my press is really special to me because my boyfriend actually built it for me as a present for Valentine’s Day! I didn’t really have a chance to tidy up in kitchen, but they told me “the messier, the better!”

They stayed for about 40 minutes and I actually answered a lot more questions than was shown in the video, but I’m still surprised that it was two minutes long! They told me it was going to be a quick one minute feature. ^^

Didn’t the cameraman do a good job? He really loves what he does for a living. He kept moving around my products to find new ways to shoot them despite my limited light source. They were both very kind and patient– I had about two takes for most answers (for different angles), which was good because I really had no idea how to explain screen printing in Korean. I mean, I have problems explaining it in English!

Exactly one week after the airing, I picked up the DVD of the 10 minute News Tonight segment from the MBC station in Koreatown, so now I can make a copy to send to my mom… ^^ I haven’t told her yet. I decided to just surprise her by sending it to her in the mail~ I hope she’ll be proud!
